As this is a new group I need input help and ideas.
I had thought we could meet up either at each others houses or a central location to start with. Let me know your thoughts on this.
W also need to know when is best for you all to meet day, evening, weekend or a mixture of all three.
We can have a great time with fabric and threads, biscuits, cake , tea or even wine.
I am really excited about this group, I love all the modern quilts and ideas – please look at the modern quilt guild for inspiration. Also to drool over and wonder where they get all there ideas from.
I have just bought these two books that are full of great ideas and inspiration . The first one has basic instructions for quilting in the introduction, including tools quilting basics and colour and design. The rest of the book has some lovely patterns for quilts of all sizes, cushions and table cloths. All the colours of the quilts are simply stunning.

The other book is for the free motion quilters, it is full of very clear and simple pictures and drawings. I am attempting to try out several of the ideas on a quilt I am making for my nearly one year old grandson. If you haven’t seen any of Angela’s work I recommend you look her up – ” fabulous”
